Directions
Paper Cuts
- Cut a piece of Great White 8 1/2" x 11" paper in half to create two 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" pieces.
- Fold one piece in half to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Alternatively, you could use pre-made cards.
- Cut a piece of Stampin' Up Patterns Love DSP paper 4" x 5 1'4" - Put aside for later
- Cut a piece of Great White paper 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" - This will be the piece of paper that is stamped.
Stamping
- Use the Stampin' Write Markers (I used Cameo Coral, Rich Razzleberry, and Lavender Lace) to color the Candy Hearts, and stamp on a scrap piece of Great White paper. (Tip: After coloring each heart, "huff" on the rubber stamp. Your hot breath will re-wet the ink.)
- Clean your stamp and repeat the stamping using different colors on different hearts.
- Using a heart punch or scissors, carefully cut out each of the 10 colored candy hearts. Place aside for later.
- Using a Black StazOn Ink Pad, Stamp the Candy Conversations image on a Stamp-a-ma-jig. Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to alight the image approximately 1" below the top of the 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" Great White Paper. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig as a guide, take a piece of scrap paper and block the words "Be Mine, Valentine" and the arrow. Remove the plastic piece of the Stamp-a-ma-jig carefully and stamp the row of 5 hearts.
- Repeat the stamping above, but this time, allow the words "Be Mine, Valentine" and arrow to be stamped.
- Using the colored hearts cut out in a previous step, glue on top of the black stamped hearts using glue or dry adhesive.
- Attach the 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" stamped paper to the piece of Stampin' Up Patterns Love DSP paper.
- Using scotch tape on the back, attach a 6" piece of 1/8" ribbon to the paper, then attach the Patterns Love Paper to the front of the card.
- Tie a small bow to the bottom of the ribbon.
And Voila! A sweet little Valentine's Day Card for your sweetie!
